This design is the first in my new collection which I am hopeful will bring awareness to the many endangered and vulnerable species on our planet!
The Pesquet parrot aka Dracula Parrot is native to the rain forests in New Guinea. It's feathers are highly prized and due to over hunting and habitat loss it has been listed as vulnerable on the IUCN red list of threatened species.
This Halloween design is on my Simple Sock base which is 437 yards and 100 grams of perfection.
I am currently knitting some socks and the colors do pool in a very interesting way.
Dracula Parrot
Care: This yarn is labeled superwash but your garment will last longer if you wash by hand in cool water with a wool wash soap. Then gently squeeze out water and lay flat to dry. Never place in dryer!
Each skein is an individual and unique canvas. No 2 skeins will ever be identical, so it is recommended that you alternate skeins every couple of rows.
Also keep in mind that actual color/shade appearance may vary due to monitor settings and variations between dye lots.
